AirPods Max

AirPods Max: Apple's over-ear headphones

AirPods Max cover the entire ear. They feature active noise cancellation, transparency mode, and personal spatial sound with head tracking. Music and calls are controlled by the Digital Crown on the ear cup. They come in five colors.

A single charge lasts up to 20 hours of listening time with noise canceling. The Smart Case switches the earbuds to ultra-low power mode. USB-C charging: the cable charges the earbuds and delivers lossless audio with minimal latency.

Apple doesn't specify sweat or water resistance for the AirPods Max. They weigh significantly more than earbuds and don't fit in a pocket; they need a case.

AirPods Max or earbuds

AirPods Max are great for home, planes, and long trips: the large earcups hold a charge for up to 20 hours and don't require anything to be inserted into the ear. For jogging and the gym, the IP57-rated AirPods Pro 3 or the ear-hook Powerbeats Pro 2 are better options. If you need one earbud for everything, the AirPods Pro 3 are more convenient: they fit in your pocket and also block out noise.

Open box

AirPods Max are sometimes sold in open-box condition: these are earbuds without the original box. The package contents are listed on the product card. The store's warranty on open-boxed AirPods is the same as on new ones: 12 months.
