The iPhone 16 is a previous-generation model that Apple continues to sell. It features an A18 chip, a 6.1-inch display with Dynamic Island, and weighs 170 grams. It has an aluminum body, a Ceramic Shield front glass, and Face ID facial unlocking. The phone runs iOS 27.

There are two cameras on the back: a 48 MP main camera and a 12 MP ultra-wide camera. The main camera offers 2x zoom, and the full zoom range is 4x. There's a Camera Control button and an action button, IP68 water resistance, and MagSafe charging up to 25W. Apple claims up to 22 hours of video playback.

Who is the iPhone 16 suitable for?

The weight difference is small: 170 g versus 177 g. The iPhone 17e has a newer chip, but it has a single rear camera. The iPhone 16 is chosen for its price: two cameras and Camera Control for less.

How much memory should I take?

The basic 128GB version fills up quickly if you're recording videos and storing messages and photos. If you're buying the phone for three to four years, get the 256GB version; the storage isn't expandable after purchase.
