What's different about the iPhone Air?

The iPhone Air is the thinnest and lightest iPhone in the 17 series, measuring 5.64 mm and 165 g. It features a titanium frame, Ceramic Shield 2 glass on the front, and Ceramic Shield on the back. The display is 6.5 inches with ProMotion up to 120 Hz. It's powered by the A19 Pro chip, the same one found in the 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max.

The Air only supports eSIM; it doesn't have a slot for a regular SIM card. The phone supports two eSIMs simultaneously. Before purchasing, check that your carrier offers an eSIM and inquire about transferring your phone number from a plastic card to it.

On the back, there's a single 48MP camera with 2x optical zoom. The Air lacks an ultra-wide-angle camera or a telephoto lens, which is the main tradeoff for its thickness. On the front, there's an 18MP Center Stage camera.

- Apple claims up to 27 hours of video playback. - For long days, the Air comes with a MagSafe battery, sold separately. - MagSafe and Qi2 wireless charging up to 20W. - Always-On display and Camera Control button. - USB-C connector with USB 2 speed, like the iPhone 17. - Communication and Wi-Fi are powered by Apple chips: the C1X and N1 modem. - Water protection according to the IP68 standard.

Who is the iPhone Air for?

For those who notice the weight of their phone in their pocket and hand by the end of the day. And for those who primarily shoot people and street scenes with the main camera. If you often shoot landscapes at an ultra-wide angle or distant objects, one camera won't be enough.

How much memory should I take?

The Air comes in three storage capacities: 256 GB, 512 GB, and 1 TB. 256 GB is enough for storing photos in the cloud, 512 GB is suitable for those who shoot a lot of video, and 1 TB is needed for several years of archiving. Storage is not expandable after purchase.
